Computer Name

A Computer Name is a unique identifier issued to every university owned device. Current university computers use the following convention: [UWM or WAK][6 digit Asset ID] (e.g. UWM001234). Older computers may follow other conventions, such as [Department]-[Building/room]-[computer number] (e.g. CCL-BOL225-11), and [SA]-[Service Tag] (e.g. SA-1A2B3C4). For a desktop computer, the label with the computer name is usually found on the top or side of the tower.
