GlobalProtect VPN: Personal Mac Setup Instructions

This document describes how to download and install the UWM GlobalProtect VPN user on a personal Mac computer. Note:This user is compatible with macOS 10.10 or later.

 

Download the User

Installing the GlobalProtect User (Mac)

  1. Open the downloaded file. Proceed through the installation process: click Continue, then Continue, then Install.

  2. If prompted, enter your Mac administrator password and select Install. The prompt should appear similar to the image below.

  3. Some users will be prompted with a System Extension Blocked message. In this case, select Open Security Preferences then select Allow in the following window.

  4. Allow Global Protect System Extension

Connecting with the GlobalProtect user    

After the installation has finished, proceed to GlobalProtect VPN - How to connect (macOS) for instructions on how to connect.
