M365 Teams (How To) Block Spam Calls from Call History
This article will provide instructions on how to block spam calls in Microsoft Teams from your Call History tab. Keep in mind that you are only able to block external (outside of UWM) callers in Teams.
To block external callers that have called you
- Click on the Calls tab on the left side of your working screen.
- Click on the History option in the calls menu.
- You can also complete the following steps from the Voicemail option in the calls menu.
- Locate the external phone number you wish to block.
- Click on the ... (More options) button.
- From the menu, click the option to Block.
- The number is now added to your block list in your Settings.
- See instructions below to edit blocked contacts and block external calls with no caller ID.
- Note: If a blocked number calls you, it will now go directly to Voicemail.
To edit blocked contacts
- Click on your person icon in the top right corner of your working screen.
- Click on the option for Settings.
- In the tabs on the left of your settings window, click the option for Privacy.
- Under the Blocked contacts heading, click the option to Edit blocked contacts.
- From here you will be able to manage the people you have blocked in the Calls tab.
- Note: When you block someone, they can't call you from a one-on-one chat, @mention you in a one-on-one chat, or see your presence.
To block all external calls with no caller ID:
- Click on your person icon in the top right corner of your working screen.
- Click on the option for Settings.
- In the tabs on the left of your settings window, click the option for Privacy.
- Under the Blocked contacts heading, select the option to Block calls with no caller ID.
