M365 Power Automate (Information) Connector Request

This document describes how to submit a request to the Microsoft 365 administrators to have a Power Automate (previously known as Flow) connector moved from the No business data allowed data group to the Business data only group.

Connectors for Power Automate connect Microsoft 365 (previously Office 365) apps with one another as well as with external services. In order to protect sensitive University data hosted in Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint from leaving the institution via consumer services (e.g., Dropbox, box, Twitter), administrators have implemented Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies. These policies define which services University data can be shared with when using Power Automate.

DLP classifies services into two data groups: Business data only and No business data allowed. Power Automate will be prevented from sharing data between services in different groups but can share data between services within the same group.

UWM full time employees can submit a request to the Microsoft 365 administrators to have a Power Automate connector moved from the No business data allowed data group to the Business data only group by completing the form on the Cloud Services and Applications website:
