Service Description
The UITS Monitoring service (also known as WhatsUp Gold) monitors the operational health of applications, servers, networking and other IT infrastructure components operated by University Information Technology Services and to alert IT staff of technical issues related to overcapacity, disk usage, memory and more. In addition to monitoring, the goals of this service are to provide one source for reliable and accurate information that can be used by professional IT staff to diagnose and resolve problems with IT infrastructure as well as archive monitoring data for historical reporting purposes.

Service Access
Authorization
In addition to using an ePantherID and password for authentication, authorization is required for access to the UITS Monitoring service and is only available to University IT support staff. Contact uitsmonitoring-oper@uwm.edu to request authorization or inquire about different access levels.

An active ePantherID and password are required for access to this service.
Service Availability
This service is available 24/7 except during scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages. For information about timeframes when service is unavailable, visit uwm.edu/gettechhelp.
Scheduled Maintenance Windows
The defined standing maintenance windows for WhatsUp Gold are Tuesday and Thursday from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m.

There are no charges associated with the use of this service.
