Service Description
The Virtual Hosting service utilizes UWM Primary Data Center infrastructure to provide customers with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities that can be used to deliver an application or service. A computing platform including hardware architecture and software framework as well as a set of software subsystems and components are scaled according to the specific computing needs of the customer and designed to maximize performance and reliability.
This service is primarily infrastructure in nature and not directly accessed by customers. Use of this service outside of UITS is supported via an active UITS Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Customer access
Customer access to this service differs depending on the application or service being hosted, the infrastructure and network protocols it utilizes.
Administrator access
Authorized system administrators access this service and its management componentry using their ePantherID and password.
Service Availability
The Virtual Hosting service is available 24/7 except during scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages. For information about timeframes when service is unavailable, visit uwm.edu/gettechhelp.
Scheduled or Unplanned Outages
Information about scheduled or unplanned outages is posted at uwm.edu/gettechhelp.
Service Charges
Charges for this service depend on the rates agreed upon in a current UITS Service Level Agreement (SLA).
