Enabling Enterprise Mode in Internet Explorer 11

Enterprise Mode, a compatibility mode that runs on Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 devices, lets websites render using a modified browser configuration designed to emulate either Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Windows Internet Explorer 8, avoiding the common compatibility problems associated with web apps written and tested on older versions of Internet Explorer.

To enable Enterprise Mode for a website in Internet Explorer 11:

First check to make sure your browser is IE 11:

Go to Help --> About Internet Explorer

Note: If you do not see the Help menu, tap the ALT key on your keyboard to show the menu bar, or select the Gear Icon --> About Internet Explorer.

If you see you are running IE 11 continue with these instructions.

Browse to the website that does not appear correctly or is not working properly.

Go to Tools --> Enterprise Mode

Note: If you do not see the Tools menu, tap the ALT key on your keyboard to show the menu bar.

Once you select Enterprise Mode, the webpage will be displayed using Enterprise Mode. You will be able to tell this has happened by the additional icon you will see in the address bar to the left of the web address.

If you do not see Enterprise Mode in the Tools menu, contact your IT Support for assistance.
