Auditing a class
A few guidelines regarding auditing a class.
Non-degree seeking students interested in graduate level course auditing can either look up specific courses in the Schedule of Classes, linked below, or should contact the UWM Graduate Program Administration at 414-229-6569, or via email at gradschool@uwm.edu.
Auditors should discuss course work and attendance requirements with the instructor during the first week of class. Auditors should contact their professor regarding any concerns with prerequisites as professors can add students to a class regardless of prerequisites being met or not.
Classes that require instructor consent to audit or never can be taken for audit are marked in the Schedule of Classes.
Course auditing is generally not permitted during UWinteriM.
Auditors should contact their professor regarding any concerns with prerequisites as professors have the power to add students to a class, regardless of prerequisites being met.
Auditors of any class held in the Klotsche Center and Pavilion are permitted to use the Klotsche Center and Pavilion facilities by enrolling into an RSF Auditing Membership (a lab fee of $75 is required for all classes). Any auditor, dissertator, off-campus student who has not paid the mandatory student fee must do so in the Bursar Office prior to using the Klotsche Center or Pavilion facilities.
