Office 365 (Outlook on the web) - Junk Mail, Deleted Items, and the Clutter Folder
In Outlook, there are both Junk Mail and Deleted Items folders.
Outlook offers three folders that manage mail that you do not want to see in your inbox. However, these three parallel folders do perform slightly different tasks. It is important to note that across Junk Mail, Deleted Items, and the Clutter Folder no mail will be deleted or removed from your account unless you perform the action manually.
Two of these folders, the Junk Mail folder and the Clutter Folder, have settings that can be adjusted by going into mail settings and navigating to the correct section. Mail settings can be accessed by clicking the gear in the top right corner, and the clicking mail.
Clutter Folder: The newest addition to the Outlook folder system, the Clutter Folder is considered a smart folder and will monitor your mail habits with in the Outlook environment to remove e-mails you commonly delete from your Inbox automatically. You may turn off the Clutter Folder any time by clicking the gear in the upper right hand corner, selecting Options>Mail>Automatic Processing>Clutter and turning the Clutter Folder off.
