PAWS Access for International Students
International students who are accepted to UW-Milwaukee may experience problems getting access to PAWS and other UWM applications, due to their unfamiliarity with the system.
International Students communicate with the Center for International Education (CIE) via personal email during the application process. When International students are notified that they can now activate their account, some International students experience technical problems activating and/or accessing PAWS or Outlook 365.
The CIE's International Student and Scholar Services (firstname.lastname@example.org) will forward any technical problems to the Help Desk for further troubleshooting. Problems with PAWS may be caused by language settings which can be corrected by walking the client through the browser friendly settings, paying special attention to make sure English(US) is selected as the primary language.
The UWM Help Desk is responsible for technical support. If the client has any administrative or admission type questions, refer them to the appropriate admissions office.
After all troubleshooting is performed, direct the client back to email@example.com for further admissions processing. If the client has any administrative or admission type questions, refer them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
