Canvas - External Tools - LabSim (TestOut)

This article provides information on usage and support for TestOut at UWM.

What is LabSim?

LabSim is a learning platform offered by TestOut corporation that is utilized in IT education. Students receive lessons and access to simulation spaces that allow them to practice IT skills in a safe environment. LabSim also provides instructors with content resources and assessment tools.

Who can use LabSim?

LabSim is primarily used by students whose course requires a virtual environment to complete coursework. It is not a free tool. There is a fee for each student. Request pricing information

Access to LabSim is provided when the instructor or student clicks a link to content from within the Canvas course. Neither students nor instructors create an account on the LabSim/TestOut website.

What should I do if I have an accessibility? 

Students should communicate accessibility concerns with the course instructor and the UWM's Accessibility Resource Center (ARC)
