M365 Outlook on the Web (How To) Change Attachment Access and Edit Settings

This article explains how to change the access and edit settings for files sent in Outlook on the Web.

   

Changing Access and Edit Settings on an Attached File

  1. Attach your file to the email you want to send. 
  2. Scroll over the file and click the can edit. . . icon that shows up.
    Note: Depending on your default permissions, this may appear as Recipients can edit, Anyone can edit, People at UWM can edit, or People with existing access can edit.
  3. Change your sharing settings to your preferred option.
  4. To change what people with access to the file can do, click the drop-down menu under More settings.
    Note: If you want to block people from downloading the file you send, choose the Can view option and then toggle the Block download button. 
  5. Click Apply.
