PAWS 500 Errors - Causes and Fixes
PAWS - 500 error when attempting to log into main page from Google Search
When a user gets a 500 error on their screen after attempting to log into PAWS, this is most likely due to the link that was clicked on when searching Google for PAWS.
Please look closely when searching on Google. The problem exists due to Google's algorithm selecting the TEST PAWS environment as the two login selections on the screen. Both the first selection to log into PAWS and the additional selection about half way down on the page direct the user to TEST PAWS. You can tell the link is incorrect because it reads as testpaws.uwm.edu and not the correct link. The testpaws link will throw a 500 error upon login.
The correct login to access PAWS is: https://paws.uwm.edu/signin.html
