Where's My Drive?
With the new S: drive distributed to everyone, many users may be confused what happened to drive letters they are used to seeing. This is a chart of the old drive letters, and where they can be found now.
If you are wondering "Where did my J drive go?" you can use this table to help determine where you should look for your files in shared storage.
- The 'Old Drive' column shows the old drive mappings.
- The 'Label' column shows the label, if one was assigned, that would have showed up next to the drive letter in Explorer.
- The 'New Path' column is where you can now find your content under the new S: drive.
- The 'UNC Path' is the full network path to the content (Note: this may change as content is moved to new servers).
By scrolling to the 'J's in the table, you can see most of the known J drive mappings that were previously used on campus. By looking for your department name in the Label field below, you can then use the label or UNC path information in the table to determine where you can now expect to find on the S: drive.
Additionally, you will be able to use the UNC Path to remap to the appropriate drive for any applications that may connect to the data in the uFiles.
