GlobalProtect VPN for macOS - Self Service Install/Reinstall Instructions

Following are instructions for installing the Palo Alto Global Protect VPN on a university-owned Mac using Self Service. These instructions will not work for a personally owned device.


  1. Click the Self Service+ icon with the UWM logo in the dock, if present. If not present, launch Spotlight search by pressing (Command+Space), type "Self Service", and press the Enter key. After launching Self Service, you’ll be presented with the Self Service Home screen.

  3. Click on "Install" or, if you have installed it before, run "Reinstall"
  4. Once the app is installed, you will see a greyed-out globe in the top-right corner of your screen.
