2019-2020 New Student Information - Alcohol-Wise and Think About It FAQs
As new members of the UWM community, students are required to complete two programs, Alcohol-Wise and Think About It, which are designed to help them care for
themselves and others. The programs focus on: making informed and responsible decisions about substance use; understanding consent and sexual violence; engaging in healthy relationships; knowing how to assist someone who needs help; and utilizing campus resources on these topics.
Alcohol-Wise and Think About It FAQ
When will I receive my Alcohol-Wise email?
You will start receiving your email once your uwm.edu email address is active.
Do I need to complete this?
Yes, you MUST complete this online education course. It is required by UWM.
When is it due?
The deadline for Part 1 is August 26, 2019.
Do I need to get a specific score?
You will need to obtain an 80% or higher on your course in order to pass.
I'm a transfer student and cannot find my email...what do I do?
Within 1-2 weeks of enrolling, new and transfer
students under the age of 21 will receive an email in their UWM email that
contains the instructions for how to access the Alcohol Wise course.
What if I can't find my email regardless of my student status?
If you are unable to find their Alcohol-Wise email, it may be in the Junk or Clutter folder, or you may have inadvertently marked the email as spam. Search the inbox and all associated folders for "Alcohol-Wise" to determine if the email exists outside of the Inbox.
If the email still cannot be found, contact the Norris Health Center Office of Health and Wellness at 414-229-5836 or 414-229-3712 for help on obtaining a new email/login instructions.
What if I am having technical difficulties?
***Students will be able to access their enrollment 1 week after their orientation date. ***
What if I can't find my Think About It email?
If you are unable to find your Think About It
email, it may be in the Junk or Clutter folder, or you may have
inadvertently marked the email as spam.
Search the inbox and all
associated folders for "Think About It" to determine if the email exists
outside of the Inbox. If you are still unable to find this email, please contact email@example.com for further help.
