Phishing Reporting Procedure
Microsoft often institutes a filter for phishing emails, so simply forwarding it will not properly report the email. Here are the steps to properly report phishing attempt emails:

The UWM Help Desk asks clients to report phishing attempts and generally suspicious emails they have received to abuse@uwm.edu in tandem with using the Microsoft Junk and Phishing Email feature.
To report a junk/phishing message in Outlook on the web:
2. Select the junk/phishing email message and press the "Junk" drop down menu. Then click on whether the email is junk or phishing.
3. Report the phishing/junk message, as it will help grow the junk filter and block similar emails in the future

To report a junk/phishing message in Outlook for Windows:

2. Select Block sender:

The message will be moved to your Junk Email folder and future messages from that sender will be delivered to your Junk Email folder.
1. Select Junk from the ribbon, then select either Junk or Block sender:

If you select Junk, the message will be moved to your "Junk Email" folder. If you select Block Sender, the message will be moved to your "Junk Email" folder and future messages from that sender will be delivered to your Junk Email folder.
