M365 Outlook (Information) - Reporting Junk and Phishing Email

To report suspicious email messages to Microsoft, please follow the steps in the appropriate sections of the following article.

The UWM Help Desk asks users to report phishing attempts and generally suspicious emails they have received to abuse@uwm.edu, in tandem with using the Microsoft Junk and Phishing Email feature.

Outlook Desktop (New and Classic) and Outlook on the Web

Reporting Phishing

1. To report a phishing message, click the Report button in the Home toolbar in Outlook:

2.  When the Report Phishing window appears, click Report:

1. To report a junk email message, click the drop-down arrow next to the Report button in the Home toolbar in Outlook and select Report Junk:
