D2L - Add a QuickLink as a Content Topic in D2L

D2L’s Content tool uses an outline format consisting of non-clickable links called Modules. Modules contain clickable links to files and sometimes other areas of D2L. These links to other D2L areas are called QuickLinks.

1. On the "Table of Contents" page, click New, and select Create a Link.
2. In the pop-up window, add a title. This is the title that will display to the students in the "Content" area.
3. Insert a URL to direct to an internet site.
4. Click Create.

NOTE: It is important to copy and paste the entire URL from the external website. Open a second browser window and navigate to the website to which you want to make a link. Copy the entire URL and paste it into the appropriate field.
