Mac - Force Quitting Applications
When an application and/or software is not responding properly and is affecting the Mac computer's usability, the user can Force Quit the applications to restabilize the computer.
There are two ways a user can access the Force Quit window:
- The user can quit an application by selecting it in the menu and clicking on the blue button Force Quit.
- The user can force quit all applications except for Finder, which will give you the option to "Relaunch".
Go to the top of the tool bar and click on the Apple Symbol at the upper most left corner of the screen and then select Force Quit in the dropdown bar.
On the keyboard, the user can get to the force quit window by holding down the following keys, "Command, Options, & Escape", if the user is not able use the toolbar.
