Rave Mobile Safety - S.A.F.E. Alert Emergency Notification System

Rave Mobile Safety is the service behind the S.A.F.E. Alert Emergency Notification System. This system allows students and staff to receive notifications via text message and email in the event of a campus emergency. In the past, users had to register for this service to receive updates. A recent change now automatically pulls mobile phone numbers from PAWS and adds them to the system. Users may not be aware of this change.

UWM Emergency Alert Program

UWM's Emergency Alert Program, also known as “Rave Alerts,” provides notifications to students, faculty, and staff via text message and/or email in the event of a campus emergency.

Students, Faculty, and Staff are automatically enrolled in the UWM Emergency Alert Program through their UWM email. More information on using the system can be found in UWM's Rave training materials.

Text Alerts

Students will receive text message alerts if their PAWS account includes a cell phone number.

⚠️ If you are not receiving text notifications from the SAFE Alert System, check that your current mobile number is listed in PAWS.

Faculty and staff must enroll in Rave Mobile Safety to receive text message alerts. For help, see the enrollment guide for faculty and staff.
