Installation Instructions for SPSS 31 for Mac OS X

This article will give directions on how to install SPSS 31 student licensing for Mac OS X.

NOTE: SPSS license codes must be verified with IBM-SPSS via the Internet. DO NOT INSTALL SPSS WITHOUT AN INERNET CONNECTION OF SOME TYPE. The software will not be able to activate without “checking in” with IBM-SPSS.

  1. Double click IBM SPSS Statistics.pkg to start the installation.

  2. Click "Continue"

  3. Click "Continue"

  4. Click "Continue"

  5. Click "Agree"
    This screen shows how to continue with installing the software. The bottom left has a read license button and there is a disagree or an agree button.



  6. Click "Install"

  7. This process will take a few minutes

  8. Click "Close"

  9. Launch the IBM SPSS Statistics application

  10. Click "Launch License Wizard"

  11. Click "Next"

  12. At this window, enter the code (the code will be in the zipfile you received). (Copy and paste the code to save time and reduce the probability of error.) Click "Add" and then click "Next"

  13. Click "Next"

  14. Click "Finish"

  15. You have completed the installation and authorization of SPSS 31 for MAC OS X.
