Self Service to Self Service+ (macOS)

This article explains the transition to Jamf Connect 3.5.0 and Self Service+.

Applies to: macOS 14 Monterey through macOS 26 Tahoe.

What:

We have transitioned to Jamf Connect 3.5.0 and Self Service+ to resolve an issue that caused keychain notifications for Jamf Connect after a restart on University-owned macs running macOS 26.1.

What’s new:

The Jamf Connect menu bar icon has been re-branded as Self Service+. This will result in a slight change to the interface, the main features, and functions are the same and the differences are fairly intuitive to navigate. What used to be the Jamf Connect menu bar will now appear as a “plus” symbol, the same functions and menu layout of Jamf Connect menu bar are present. Clicking the icon will display the username and password expiry information.

Notable differences in Self Service+:

  • Naming of side menu items.
  • “Catalog”, replaces “Browse” and the menu navigation is slightly different.
  • Main page layout contains an “Account Management” section which displays the password expiration status and other information related to the account.

Notable difference in Self Service+ menu bar:

  • The icon is now a stylized “plus”.
