Windows 11 Upgrade Compatibility

This article explains the how to use the Windows Upgrade Compatibility Tool

If you do not have the Windows 11 Upgrade available in your Software Center application, your device hardware may not meet the Microsoft hardware requirements. You can run the Windows 11 Compatibility Checker in software center.

1. Open the Start menu (usually located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen). 

2. With the Start menu open, begin typing "Software Center" (without the quotes).

Choose the Software Center application that appears as the search result.

4. In the search both type “Compatibility”

5. The “Windows 11 Compatibility Checker” should be listed.

6. Select the Windows 11 Compatibility Checker and click install

7. Once the application has been installed a web browser will appear indicating whether you can upgrade. If you cannot upgrade, it will say why your device cannot be upgraded to Windows 11.
