Handshake - How to create a Student account
This article will show how a student can create an account on Handshake
If a student is looking to acquire a UW-Milwaukee Job that takes place on or off campus, they will need to access it on the Handshake site since it is now the only place that campus jobs will be posted. An individual that's affiliated with the school can access the Handshake site by clicking on the link listed below.
You will be taken to the Handshake sign in page. Click on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 1Login to login using your ePanther credentials.
You will then be taken to the 1Login screen to which you would need to enter in your credentials.
Once you put in the account credentials, you should be led to your UWM Handshake account dashboard. From here, you would be able to set up your account by hovering your cursor over your name and clicking 'My Profile' in the dropdown menu. From here, you can set up your 'Personal' preferences, entering in your address as well as your contact information, and inputting your 'Academic' career status, such as entering your Major and Minor, inputting your GPA, etc.
You can also change your privacy settings such as your password and notifications. For example, The UWM Handshake site can send you e-mail notifications and/or text message alerts. You can change these settings by hovering over Notifications.
