Phishing Reporting Procedure

Microsoft often institutes a filter for phishing emails, so simply forwarding it will not properly report the email. Here are the steps to properly report phishing attempt emails:

For more information on junk email and phishing, please see our expanded KnowledgeBase article, Office 365 (Outlook) - Learn about junk email and phishing . The UWM Help Desk asks clients to report phishing attempts and generally suspicious emails they have received to abuse@uwm.edu in tandem with using the Microsoft Junk and Phishing Email feature.

PLEASE NOTE: Outlook's desktop application no longer allows the reporting of Junk and Phishing emails. All reports must be done using Outlook on the Web.
