ePanther Account - Forgotten Password & Changing Password

This is a guide to show how an individual can change their password using the password change page or the forgotten password page. If one were to change their password on either page, it will allow them to access the UWM applications (ex. PAWS, D2L, Office365) with that new password.



If an individual wishes to change their password as a security measure and knows their current ePanther account password, they can visit the follow link listed below. The following steps are listed below


  1. Enter your current account credentials (Username and Password) and hit 'Continue'

  2. The user has the option to change their security questions (Optional). The user can click on 'Keep my current settings and proceed with password change' or if changing the security questions and answers, 'Save my answers and proceed with password change'.

  3. Agree to the terms of conditions. The user should be familiar with the terms of service and hit 'I Accept' at the bottom of the page.

  4. Change your password, it should meet 3 of the 4 following criteria listed below.

    *Enter your Password Meeting the following criteria: (Note this will update as your entering in your password)
    Between 10 and 32 Characters in length
    Is judged Strong or Very Strong
    Uses 3 of the following character types
    Uppercase Letters
    Lowercase Letters
    Numbers
    Symbols Except the following:
    Double Qoutes ( " )
    Backslash ( \ )
    Non-Printing characters other than space
    *If the password meets the criteria, confirm your password by entering it in the Step 2 field
    *Click on 'Activate New Password' in Step 3

  5. Password successfully changed. It should be in use for all UWM applications (ex. PAWS, D2L, Office365)

If an individual forgot their password, they should visit the following URL listed below.


Follow the step below in order to change your password from this page.

  1. Enter in your Date of Birth and your Campus ID. You can also enter in your ePanther username but it's optional.

  2. Answer your three security questions and hit 'Continue'. (Note: The answers are not case sensitive)

  3. Agree to the terms of conditions. The user should be familiar with the terms of service and hit 'I Accept' at the bottom of the page.

  4. Change your password, it should meet 3 of the 4 following criteria listed below.

    Between 10 and 32 Characters in length

    Uses 3 of the following character types

    Numbers

    *Click on 'Activate New Password' in Step 3

  5. Password successfully changed. It should be in use for all UWM applications (ex. PAWS, D2L, Office365)
Note: If you don't know your Campus ID number or the answers to your three security questions and answers, you will need to call the UWM Help Desk at (414) 229-4040 in order to get an incident created and for a higher level technician to give your Campus ID or to manually reset your password.

If you are on campus you can visit our Walk-In labs in Bolton 225 or the Golda Meir Library between the hours of 8AM - 5PM every Monday - Friday. Please bring a valid photo ID if you decide to come to our Walk-In labs.
