"Unable to Connect to Wifi" popup
Troubleshooting steps that should be taken when "Unable to Connect to Wifi" notification pops up during UWM Wifi setup.
If device cannot connect to UWM and displays a "Unable to Connect to Wifi" popup, the following steps should be taken.
For UWMWiFi and eduroam issues:
- Check to make sure that the building supports UWMWifi options. A full list of buildings with UWMWifi can be found here.
- Delete the old UWMWiFi or eduroam profile and all other UWM WiFi profiles, this includes UWMSponsored, Public, and the others.
- Set up a new profile following the instructions available here.
Make Sure WiFi is switched on.
Make sure the WiFi on your device is switched on.
Try Connecting to Public Wifi.
To use the Public option,clients must choose Public from their list of available networks, and then navigate to www.uwm.edu in a web browser to agree to the terms and conditions by clicking Accept And Register As Guest.
Try moving to a different building.
Certain spots around campus (such as the Union or EMS) has lots of active users. Moving to a different building may help you get reconnected to a different WiFi access point.
Forget Wifi Network
Restart the device.
Re-add Wifi network.
