[Letters & Science] Adding Print / User codes in Windows for Multi Function Printers [PCL5e]

Adding print/user codes to Ricoh multi-function devices within Windows. Applies to all printers with PCL5e drivers.

  1. Open the Devices and Printers control panel.
    • For Windows 7: Go to the Start menu and select Devices and Printers
    • For Windows 8.1 and Windows 10: Press the Windows Key (or click the search bar) to start a search. Enter "Devices and Printers". Select the Devices and Printers control panel.
  2. Right click on the printer you need to add your user code to and select Printing Preferences
  3. Select the Valid Access tab 
  4. Enter your user / printer code in the User Code field
  5. Click Apply, then OK to exit the Printing Preferences window
