UITS Shopping Cart Service (X-Cart)
This article provides information on the UITS Shopping Cart Service (X-Cart)
The UITS Shopping Cart service is the e-commerce or shopping cart application used by the UWM TechStore, UWM SoftwareShop and UWM TechRepair. The UITS Shopping Cart is an implementation of BCS Engineering's open-source X-Cart application that allows departments to create quotes and wish lists, request services, create invoices and accept payments using department codes and payment cards.

Credentials needed for access
An active ePantherID and password are required for access.
Student access granted
Prospective students are given access to this service when fees are paid, and notification is given in PAWS for eligibility to register for classes.
Student service discontinuation
Access to this service is removed when a student has not registered for classes for the past two consecutive full semesters (fall and spring).
Employee/sponsored access granted
Faculty and staff are given access to this service when the hiring process is complete and the ePantherID and password are activated.
Employee/sponsored service discontinuation
Access to this service is removed when an individual is no longer employed by or hold a sponsored affiliation with UWM.
Requesting sponsored access
The process for requesting sponsored access is located at the Identity and Access Management website.
The UITS Shopping Cart service is available 24/7 except during scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages. For information about timeframes when service is unavailable, visit uwm.edu/gettechhelp.
Scheduled Maintenance Windows
The defined standing maintenance window for the UITS Shopping Cart service is Thursday from 11 p.m. to completion.
Scheduled or Unplanned Outages
Information about scheduled or unplanned outages is posted at uwm.edu/gettechhelp.
There are no charges associated with the use of this service for purchasing products from UWM TechStore, UWM TechRepair and the UWM SoftwareShop.
