Basic Information - J Drive

The purpose of the J Drive account is to provide a good way for business students to submit homework for grading as they complete their projects. The account is a shared account and the faculty/instructor will have immediate and direct access to your files. The only files you should store there are files for your class – nothing else. Space is limited and inspected by faculty and network administrators – it is not private file space.

How to access the J Drive in Lubar Lab?
    1. Click on Other User in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
    2. Enter your User ID and Password as was provided by your instructor.  Typically the User ID is simply your ePanther ID and the Password is 5 characters long.
    3. The login script will map to “J:” drive.  Double click My Computer or open an Explorer window to find your course & section folder on the J: drive.  Look in your course & section folder to find your homework folder (e.g.: J:\432001\smith).

Students enrolled in classes utilizing the J Drive may set-up their computers/laptops to connect to the J Drive remotely by following the instructions below based on their Operating System.  As of now, we do not have instructions for Mac OS installation/set-up for the J Drive.
