D2L - Printing content
Instructors often upload large documents to their D2L course sites content section, and many students prefer to print these out instead of reading them on screen. Since the D2L upgrade, this process has changed. This document will walk you through printing in the new version of D2L.
The newest version of D2L has its own document reader built in - Adobe Reader will no longer open PDFs in-browser. Word and other Office documents will be displayed in-browser instead of opening up in their respective programs. Unfortunately, with this upgrade, the ability to print from the browser was lost.
To print content items, clients should click the 'Download' button underneath the document window. Once the file is downloaded, open the file in the appropriate program and print normally from there.
Students may need to download Adobe Reader if they do not have it already.
