About Mcgraw-Hill Campus, and Where to Get Help

This article describes how students and instructors can obtain support for the McGraw-Hill Campus suite of tools.

What Is McGraw-Hill Campus?

McGraw-Hill Campus is a suite of learning tools used by some courses at UWM. An instructor might offer course materials, customized textbooks, self-paced or graded assignments, and student feedback through Campus. Typically, students pay for access to Campus courses by buying an access code through the UWM Virtual Bookstore. However, some courses may have special arrangements that do not require purchase. If in-doubt, refer to your courses syllabus and contact your instructor for additional information.

Accessing McGraw-Hill Campus

Typically, students and instructors access Campus through a navigation link in D2L courses. A link called McGraw-Hill Campus, will appear in the upper right corner of the courses navigation bar. However, an instructor may choose to place a link to Campus in the Content area or move the navigation link.
  • The first time a person uses the Campus link, the person may be prompted to create an McGraw-Hill Campus account.
  • D2L course instructors work with McGraw-Hill representatives to access course materials.
  • D2L course students must purchase access to tools accessed through McGraw-Hill Campus.

How Do Instructors Add Campus to Their D2L Courses?

  1. Instructors should go to the course they intend to use Campus with.
  2. Click the Edtech Apps link in the course navigation bar.
  3. Click the McGraw-Hill Campus link.
  4. Click the checkbox labeled "Request this tool for my D2L@UWM course"
  5. Read and complete the form.
When Campus is activated, the instructor will receive an email confirmation with further instructions. Instructors should contact the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning if help or further explanation is needed.

How to Get Help with Campus?

Neither the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, nor campus IT or teaching/learning staff provide support for the use of McGraw-Hill Education products.

The UWM Help Desk is unable to support the use of McGraw-Hill Campus tools. Students and instructors should contact McGraw-Hill Education for technical support.
