Canvas – External Tools – MyOpenMath
MyOpenMath is approved for use within the Digital Learning Environment (DLE).
What is MyOpenMath?
MyOpenMath is a free online tool providing math content, homework, assessment, and feedback. Canvas assignments can be created using the external tool and grades can be passed back to the Canvas grade book. For more information see What is MyOpenMath?
Who can use MyOpenMath?
- There is no fee required to use this tool or its resources. https://www.myopenmath.com/
- Students can choose to supplement their math education with self study courses. Additionally, students can access MyOpenMath assignments directly from their participating Canvas course(s). Get started with New Student Signup.
- Instructors can implement MyOpenMath as an external tool assignment in their Canvas course to provide various math content and assessment for their students. See Classroom Use for more information. Get started with Instructor Account Request. Once the account request has been approved, the instructor will be enrolled into a Support Course and MyOpenMath Training Course.
Where can students and instructors go for support with MyOpenMath?
MyOpenMath does not provide direct support for students or instructors. Self-guided resources can be found at MyOpenMath Help.
What should I do if I have an accessibility concern?
- Students should communicate accessibility concerns with the course instructor and the UWM's Accessibility Resource Center (ARC)
- Instructors should report any accessibility concerns to MyOpenMath by emailing support@myopenmath.org. If concerns persist, please contact Center for Excellence in teaching and Learning at cetl@uwm.edu
