UW-Milwaukee Canvas Login for UW-Madison Students

This guide provides detailed instructions for University of Wisconsin-Madison students to access Canvas through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Canvas page. Follow the steps below based on whether you are accessing Canvas from a desktop or a mobile device.

Access Canvas through a Browser

  1. Visit the UWM Canvas website.
  2. Under Log Into Canvas, select the "Other Universities of Wisconsin" tab
  3. Select Log in to Canvas for UW-Madison

  4. When prompted, enter your UW-Madison NetID and Password.

Access Canvas via the Canvas Student Mobile Application

  1. Download the Canvas Student application on your Android or iOS mobile device.
  2. Launch the Canvas Student app and tap Find my school.

  3. When prompted with, "What's your school's name?" type https://uws.instructure.com in the Find your school or district field and select Next.

  4. Select UW-Madison from the Select Organization drop-down.

  5. Log in using your UW-Madison NetID and Password.
