Office 365 - Outlook on the Web (How To) Change from Light Version to Standard Version

Office 365 contains a light version of the Outlook on the Web that is useful to those with slower connections, older internet browsers, or accessibility needs. The Office 365 light version can be changed back to the standard version by following these steps:

  1. From the Outlook app, click on Options in the upper-right corner of the screen.

  2. Click Outlook Version in the left-side menu. Uncheck the Use the light version checkbox. Click Save near the top-left corner. Click on Sign out to log out of Office 365. Then exit out of the entire browser that you are running Outlook on the Web in (this will close all other tabs that are still open within that browser).

  3. Open a new browser window and navigate to outlook.office365.com. Log into your Office 365 account. Your Outlook app should be changed to the Standard Version and look similar to this.
