Office 365 - How to change your Office 365 Start page

These instructions demonstrate how to change your Office 365 Start page.

Prior to July 1st, 2016, UWM users who clicked the "Office 365" link on the main website were directed to Outlook on the web. After July 1st, 2016, Office 365 users are directed to the UWM branded Office 365 log-in website, as well as to the Office 365 "portal" landing page after logging in.

Users may change their default Office 365 Start page, if desired, by following these instructions.

Note: Some users may be confused upon seeing the Office 365 Start page for the first time. While it is possible to install Office 365 ProPlus from this page by clicking the red Install now button, it is not required to do so.

Office 365 has a Start page option which allows you to customize the default landing page that you see when you sign in. You may want to use the default Office 365 portal as your start page for consistent and comprehensive access to your services.

You may prefer to use a different start page. Instead of landing on the new home page, you might want to start in Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint or Yammer. You can set your start page preference with a few clicks.

2. Click the gear icon in the top right of the navigation bar.

3. On the settings page, click the drop-down list under "Set your start page" on the right-hand side, select your desired application or the Office 365 home page.

4. Click the Save button.
