Microsoft MFA – Changing Your Primary Authentication Method

This article provides instructions for changing your primary authentication method with Microsoft MFA.

Log in to Microsoft 365 and click on your Person Icon in the top right corner of your working screen and then choosing View account from the drop-down menu.

Click the UPDATE INFO link on the Security info tab.

Click on the Change button next to Default sign-in method.

From the drop-down menu that appears, select Authenticator app or hardware token code, and click Confirm.

Your Default sign-in method is now updated.
