Installation Instructions for SPSS 31 for Windows

This article will give instructions on how to load SPSS student license for Windows.

Note: SPSS Statistics 31 license codes must be verified with IBM-SPSS via the internet. DO NOT INSTALL SPSS WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION OF SOME TYPE. The software will not be able to activate without “checking in” with IBM-SPSS.

  1. Double click on the ISSCAS0_1.0_MP_ML.exe installer.

  2. Click "Next"

  3. Read the license agreement, select “I accept the terms in the license agreement”, and click “Next”

  4. Click "Next"

  5. Click "Install"

  6. Allow 10-15 minutes for the installation to complete, depending on the speed of your computer.

  7. When installation is complete, the screen below will appear. Click “Finish”

  8. Click on "Apply Existing License"

  9. Click on "Launch License Wizard"

    This screen shows IBM SPSS Statistics license not valid with 3 options of buttons on the bottom of the screen. The one on the left is the Launch License Wizard, the middle one is the reset license and restart and to the right of that is the Exit button.

  10. Select “Authorized user license (I purchased a single copy of the product)”. Click "Next"

  11. At this window, enter the code. (Copy and paste the code to save time and reduce the probability of errors. Your code can be found within the zipfile that was provided to you) Click "Add" and then click "Next"

  12. Codes are verified with IBM-SPSS via the internet. This verification screen will appear if you are connected to the internet. Click “Next”

  13. To complete the license, click “Finish”

  14. You have completed the installation and authorization of SPSS 31 for Windows.
