Preparing for Your First Proctored Quiz

Before your exam, it's essential to prepare and create an environment conducive to taking a secure exam with Proctorio. Here are some tips:

During the Quiz

When you take a Proctorio-enabled quiz for the first time, you need to install the Proctorio Extension. Follow the instructions provided earlier for installation.

  • Start your quiz as per the instructions for Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes.
  • If you need to exit the quiz before completion, you'll be prompted to provide a reason for stopping. This information will be visible to your instructor.

If Any Problems Occur During the Quiz

Don't panic if you encounter any issues. Follow these steps:

  • Inform your instructor immediately about the problem and the actions you've taken to resolve it.
  • Review Proctorio's troubleshooting guides.
  • Proctorio also offers 24/7 live support via phone, email, and chat. Chat can be accessed on the quiz page by clicking the gray shield icon in the top right corner of the screen, next to your URL bar, then click Live Chat. Support is available by phone at 480-428-4089 and 866-948-9248, and by email at support@proctorio.com. Please have these phone numbers available during a proctored quiz. Students are encouraged to call or chat with Proctorio support if needed. There is no penalty for doing so during the quiz. 
  • If the issue persists, contact the Help Desk for further assistance.
