Since May 15th, 2023, UWM Microsoft 365 users have been redirected to Stream (on SharePoint) to save and upload new videos and videos can no longer be saved on Stream (Classic).

On December 31st, 2023, the Stream (Classic) service will be retired and stored videos will no longer be available.

UWM’s University IT Services staff will perform automated migrations of all users’ Stream (Classic) videos to OneDrive and SharePoint prior to 12/31/23.

Videos originally uploaded to Stream (Classic) by an individual user will be migrated to the user’s OneDrive space under the Stream migrated videos folder. Videos uploaded to Stream (Classic) as part of a Microsoft 365 Group or Team will be migrated to the corresponding SharePoint Team site under the Stream migrated videos folder. Once videos are migrated, they will no longer be visible on Stream (Classic).

Following the completion of the migration work, we encourage all Stream (on SharePoint) users to update any locations that contain embedded video URLs (e.g. WordPress pages, SharePoint pages).
