M365 Access (How To) Fix Broken Path Links to External Data

Instructions on how to fix broken Access database links caused by the changing of a mapped drive.

Q: After my mapped drives were changed, my Access database gives me an error when I try to load it: "<path to file> is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides"

A: Using the Linked Table Manager in Access, the path to the required data can be adjusted to match the new mapped drive so Access can find it. Please navigate to Microsoft's instructions on how to do this at: Manage Linked Tables - Access.
